Linktree inks partnerships to enhance user experience
Smart link company Linktree has inked new deals with concert discovery platform Bandsintown, music streaming services Audiomack and SoundCloud, and messaging-focused marketing platform Community.
The new deals are aimed at bolstering the platform’s services for musicians and labels, and are meant to enhance the user experience. “They’re all designed to help you get more streams, and sell more tickets and merch, from one single link,” Linktree said.
Linktree will integrate with Bandsintown, which boasts more than 66 million registered users, to let artists promote upcoming concerts with links to tickets in their Linktree profiles, while Community users will now be able to get fans to sign up to their messaging lists from Linktree. The company has added Audiomack and SoundCloud to give fans more music streaming options.
“As with Linktree’s embeds with Spotify, Apple Music and YouTube, creators can display full-length tracks from playlists, albums and songs instantly from Audiomack, as well as audio previews on SoundCloud. Both embeds display playlists directly on Linktree,” the company said.
Linktree music lead Sammy Kaufman said: “In today’s world, artists are expected to do everything and be everywhere. Our updates are here to make it easier to be a modern-day musician and give you time back to do what you really love: make music.”
Users will be able to manually add their music across 57 additional platforms as well as edit, hide and reorder how they are listed on Linktree, bringing the total number of streaming services that Linktree supports to more than 70.
In addition, through Shopify, musicians can sell more merch, which is increasingly becoming an important income stream for artists. The Shopify integration lets fans see merch directly on an artist’s Linktree instead of being redirected to the Shopify store.
“On average, Linktree profiles with the Shopify integration are driving 60% more views to their products and collections,” Linktree senior product marketing manager Daniel Harris said.
