Listen to Nasty C and Zack Tabudlo’s Coke Studio track Fallin
South African rapper Nasty C and Filipino popstar Zack Tabudlo have released a new song titled ‘Fallin’ – their first collaboration project with Coke Studio.
‘Fallin’ was released alongside new music from Sam Smith, Jessie Reyez and Cat Burns as part of Season 2 of Coca-Cola’s global Coke Studio – a music platform that brings together exciting artists from all corners of the world together.
The latest season has brought together 16 artists from countries such as South Africa, Egypt, the US, UK, Canada, Colombia, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Turkey, China, Korea and the Philippines.
“Exchanging vibes with Zack on this record was special,” Nasty C said. “Collaborating with him was an organic process and we connected creatively and found a perfect balance between our unique styles. I enjoy collaborations that highlight the magic that can happen when artists from different backgrounds come together to create music. I can’t wait for the world to hear what we’ve cooked up.”
Zack Tabudlo is a R&B singer, lyricist, multi-instrumentalist and producer based in the Philippines. In 2022, he emerged as Spotify’s most-streamed artist in the Southeast Asian country, next to Taylor Swift and BTS. He has recently become the first Filipino male solo artist to achieve 1 billion Spotify streams, with multiple songs topping Spotify’s Global Viral chart.
“This is my first time releasing a track with a rapper like Nasty C. I’d always had visions of doing more pop-hip hop tracks in the future, so when I heard Nasty C was going to be part of Coke Studio, it felt like the perfect time to do it,” Tabudlo said.
Sam Smith’s release, meanwhile, is the Coke Studio version of ‘Perfect’, which appears on the British Grammy winner’s 2023 album Gloria. The new track features again Canada’s Jessie Reyez as well as British rising star Cat Burns. The track brings a new lyrical take that is self-reflective and hopeful.
More collaborative tracks will be released on the Coke Studio YouTube channel throughout July and August.
