MatchTune partners with BMG Production Music
AI-powered platform MatchTune this week announced that it had partnered with BMG Production Music (BMGPM).
MatchTune – now available for web, as an Adobe plugin and a MacOS app – gives creators of video content fast access to tailored music from real-life compositions. The tool uses AI technology with music-to-image synchronisation algorithms to search, scale and synch original music to video in seconds.
The partnership will see a portion of BMGPM's library made available through MatchTune. More than 15 000 tracks from the BMGPM catalogue will be made available initially. BMGPM is reportedly the world's fastest-growing production music company servicing the film, broadcast, gaming and advertising industries.
MatchTune says the app is able to synch beats, tones and energy maps precisely, having analysed moods, genres, instruments, BPM, pitch, voice and music with colour, as well as detecting video scenes – resulting in unbiased, efficient music reconfiguration and synchronisation.
"MatchTune is delighted to be able to work with BMGPM and demonstrate how we can help existing music catalogues and artists find a broader audience by removing the lengthy integration work required in matching music and video content, as well as finding the right tracks,” MatchTune co-founder and CEO Philippe Guillaud said. “Operating at the intersection of music and technology, we are showing how AI can add value to both copyright owners and to music users."
BMGPM France managing director Jérôme Keff said: "In MatchTune, BMGPM has found a forward-thinking technology partner that respects the integrity of music composition while making tailored pieces all the more accessible to the increasing number of video creators today wanting to enhance their work with music."
