Nigerian soul singer Aramide releases debut album
Aramide released Suitcase, her long-awaited debut album, on 22 November 2016.
After years of releasing single after single and carving a niche for herself in the Nigerian alternative music scene, she has finally released a full studio album.
The Afro-soul singer, who earlier this month was awarded the Best Female artiste (West Africa) at the 2016 All Africa Music award, also released two singles off the album titled 'Bose' and 'Why So Serious'. The 15-track has features from other artistes including Sound Sultan, Adekunle Gold, Ice Prince, Sir Dauda, and Koker.
Of the album title, Aramide says, “When you are going on a journey, the first thing you think about is a Suitcase, and that is why my debut album is titled Suitcase. My Suitcase is filled with emotions, love, society; appreciation, God, my journey, heartbreak and I want everyone to come with me on this journey.”
The album can be ordered from iTunes.
