Open call: Afro Pepites Show 2024
The African Dream (Le Rêve Africain) is inviting artists to submit projects for the 14th edition of Afro Pepites Show.
Three selected projects (Pepites) will be integrated into the African Dream platform and will benefit from support in communication, and possibly in management. The projects will be submitted to a committee of experts from the cultural sector and showcased so that everyone can have an enriching digital experience.
The international call is open to artists (musicians, painters, sculptors, dancers, photographers, street artists, filmmakers, stylists, storytellers, humorists and poets) from Africa, the Caribbean, Venezuela, Brazil, Colombia, Haiti, Jamaica, Cuba or any other artists inspired by Africa.
Selection criteria
The committee will select projects that must stand out for their quality, their originality and/or their commitment. The organisers invite artists or their representatives to choose carefully the work to be shared.
Selected projects
Projects selected by the African Dream will benefit from the communication tools needed to draw attention:
- Access to the African Dream network of more than 12 200 contacts organisers, managers, producers and media, 25 000 contacts subscribers and fans of African culture.
- The artists will benefit from the popularity of the African Dream social networks – more than 50 000 Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn followers
– and the strength of its partner networks. - The artists will benefit from the African Dream skills (management, production, distribution and bookings).

Interested participants should register here before 30 September 2024.
Conditions
- African or South American artists benefit from free application. Free application is not granted anymore to the artists based in the North (Europe, Asia and Northern America) and a €20 fee will be requested.
- Contact details: One link to a picture, one link to listen or discover the artist’s project and a biography.
- Artists who do not have a website should share their creations on SoundCloud, ReverbNation, YouTube and Instagram.
Every year, 12 projects are shortlisted for the top three prizes based on originality, quality and/or commitment to the arts. The winners are determined by online users and a six-member committee.
