Open call: International Choreographic Festival in France
Professional dance companies are invited to apply to perform at the International Choreographic Festival of Blois (Blois Danse) in Blois, France, from 4 to 14 July 2024.
The festival aims to enable foreign professional dance companies to the city of Blois and to democratise this art form by offering performances, dance short-film screenings, master classes, performance workshops and community outreach events. as well as fostering networking among international artists and potential supporters and programmers.
The festival is looking for six dance companies to present their work at the historical 630-seat theatre la Halle aux Grains. All dance techniques are welcome, with each company performing twice (two different pieces).
Eligibility
- Both emerging and established dance companies/choreographers are welcome to apply.
- Each company must apply with a minimum of two pieces.
- The maximum duration of each piece is 25 minutes. Longer pieces will not be considered.
- Pieces must be suitable for all audiences (no nudity).
- A maximum of four dancers per company is allowed.
