Open Call: TikTok Gimme The Mic competition

The online contest, now in its second year, welcomes individuals aged 18 and above, as well as duos and bands, provided they are not affiliated with any record label or bound by a recording agreement. It offers participants exposure, support from industry professionals and an opportunity to launch their careers globally. 

Last year, Gimme The Mic adjudged UK singer Chrissy as the ultimate winner. 

This year, Gimme The Mic is partnering with SoundOn, TikTok’s music distribution platform. Three winners of the competition will receive development, distribution and promotional support from TikTok.

How to participate

To audition, participants need to register on the audition page and post one short submission video (30 seconds minimum) with тхе hashtag #GimmeTheMic between 16 May and 27 May. Six winners will proceed to the global stage.

Regional semi-final

Thirty selected creators will compete in pairs in a series of multi-guest LIVE videos from June 9 to June 10.

Regional grand finale

The top 10 contestants from the semi-final will compete on 16 June for the chance to be crowned the Gimme The Mic champion.

Global finale

Winners from around the world will compete in the global finale for a chance to be one of the three winners. These winners will have their singles distributed and supported by SoundOn and TikTok.
