SA: Buhlebendalo features Sjava, Madala Kunene on debut album

The album is available on all majot music streaming platforms. It features such tracks as ‘Vusela’, ‘Buya Azania’, ‘Mdali’, ‘Nyamazane’, ‘Salute’ ‘Too Late for Mama’ and ‘Nethisa’. The songs were written and produced by Buhlebendalo and Malambule.

“I believe that I'm a storyteller and in the Nguni language we use the word 'chosi' as a sign that one is about to tell a story,” Buhlebendalo told Music In Africa.

“I've written my story and asking people to gather around and listen. This album was inspired by black people's stories. It was inspired by a journey that I'm still embarking on. I featured my spiritual father Madala Kunene and Sjava. I feel I have a very strong spiritual connection with these beings.”

Buhlebendalo said it took her four years to write and record the album.
