SA: Majozi and Mthandazo Gatya join forces on Mi Amor

‘Mi Amor’, sung in English and Zulu, revolves around the theme of finding love. Together, the two artists have crafted a powerful song that encapsulates the strength of love and the determination to hold on despite challenges.

Majozi said that he felt that Mthandazo Gatya’s exceptional talent would bring something truly special to the track. “Mthandazo was the first person I thought about who could add something really special to the song. He did that, and so much more,” Majozi said.

Mthandazo Gatya, who gained recognition after being noticed by John Legend on TikTok, expressed his admiration for Majozi and the positive energy he brings to the studio. “He’s a great human being before he’s a great artist,” he said. “I connect with people based on their energy, and he’s filled with really positivity. Working with him was so easy and very effortless. I never had to try too hard because I connected to the song. It is well written and well delivered. It's always a great experience being in the studio with him.” 

In a recent interview, Majozi revealed that he had initially lost confidence in himself during the pandemic and struggled to find inspiration for his music. However, after collaborating with the Canadian group Neon Dreams, he regained his motivation and embarked on his musical journey once again.
