Shout4 launches deal-making platform for musicians
Shout4 has launched a deal-making legal platform that offers a cheaper alternative to independent musicians and labels that are on a tight budget.
- The service helps new music projects start with lower upfront costs.
Shout4 is an innovative legal-tech solution for deal-making and financing early-stage music projects by sharing revenue in return for reduced upfront costs.
“Shout4 helps new music projects start faster, with lower upfront costs and incentivises contributors by sharing future revenue. All in a quick, legally robust and easy to understand online service,” the company says.
The service costs £10 per month, plus a pay-per-deal model, which will set users back about £40 to £60 depending how many deals a company sends every month. Basic access to the product is free, allowing users to create some initial projects and deals.
Some of the advantages of choosing the service include saving money, creating bespoke deals to build a team around a project in minutes, enabling faster artist development, and getting deals approved by music law firm Clintons.
Interested users can sign up for the service here. The company is also offering users a chance to book an initial 15-minute introduction to discuss the Shout4 platform.
“As a manager, producer and label owner, I need to build deals which are bespoke, make sense to me and can also save money by offering shared revenues. Shout4 does this,” British producer and songwriter DaVinChe said.
Association of Independent Music and Worldwide Independent Network founder Alison Wenham said: “The music business has changed dramatically over the last twenty years. Shout4 is the first tech platform that offer new deals with a shared outcome, a truly democratic revolution for the industry.”
Additionally, Shout4 has included 10 tips on deal-making on the platform, which can be accessed here.
