ViacomCBS Networks Africa, YouTube announce Africa Day concert line-up
ViacomCBS Networks Africa and YouTube have unveiled the names of the artists who will perform at the Africa Day virtual concert on 25 May.
The show, which will be hosted by British actor Idris Elba, will be streamed globally on YouTube and broadcast on MTV Base (DStv Channel 322) at 7pm CAT.
The event will feature performances from Bahati (Kenya), Bella Shmurda (Nigeria), Blaq Diamond (South Africa), Elaine (South Africa), Focalistic (South Africa), Gyakie (Ghana), Omah Lay (Nigeria), Suspect 95 (Ivory Coast), Teni (Nigeria), Zuchu (Tanzania), Rozzy Sokota (Sierra Leone), Ary (Angola) and Mohamed Ramadan (Egypt).
The concert will also shine a spotlight on emerging creatives from all over Africa such as Angelique Kidjo (Benin), Fally Ipupa (DRC), Yvonne Chaka Chaka (South Africa), Lady Kuda (Zimbabwe), Amina (Kenya), Azawi (Uganda), Blxckie (South Africa), Ckay (Nigeria), Cassper Nyovest (South Africa), Cleo Ice Queen (Zambia), Dr Bone (South Africa), Drizilik (Sierra Leone), Ehiz (Nigeria), Emtee (South Africa) and Ms Red (Zimbabwe), among others.

Viewers can expect a unique content experience that will be innovative, informative and entertaining.”
