Call for applications: Cav’ Townships Pusha Entrepreneurship Programme
Goethe-Institut South Africa is calling on creative entrepreneurs to submit applications for cohort eight of its Cav’ Townships Pusha Entrepreneurship Programme.
This call follows cohort seven which was unrolled in March and commenced online on 25 April. The programme is designed for township-based creative entrepreneurs who would like to turn their ideas into creative businesses and those that want to develop their business models.
The project is a 28-day virtual pre-incubation programme for entrepreneurs with creative and/or digital or tech-enabled ideas, for example, photography, animation, VR/AR, gaming, digital storytelling, among others.
The programme makes use of a Business Toolkit developed by the Cav’ Townships project to guide entrepreneurs through the process of refining their business ideas and developing a business plan for access into incubation programmes.
It will offer:
- Online workshops (1.5 hours on Monday, Wednesday and Friday).
- Mentorship.
- Co-development of participants’ business ideas MVP/MVS (sample product or service).
- Resilience and pitch preparation.
Applicants should complete an application form here before 26 June. Applications will be adjudicated by a panel of judges. The programme will commence online on 25 July. Applicants will be required attend all training workshops and pitch preparation. Women who fit the requirements are encouraged to apply.
