Sudan crisis to get support from Skin On Skin’s upcoming tour
South Sudanese DJ and producer Skin On Skin has announced that his upcoming Stay on Sight autumn tour will be in support of the ongoing crisis in Sudan, which has been embroiled in violent conflict since April.
The musician will be on the road from 27 October to 25 November and make stops in various European cities, including London, Glasgow, Paris, Barcelona and Amsterdam. Details about supporting acts will be revealed soon. Ticket sales will begin on 7 September.
Skin On Skin announced on Instagram that the tour is in partnership with UK nonprofit Choose Love, which was founded in 2015 and is dedicated to delivering humanitarian assistance and advocating for refugees globally.
Sudan faces a deepening humanitarian crisis triggered by violent clashes since 15 April, displacing more than 3 million people. This compounds long-standing conflict dating back to the 2003 Darfur crisis, with millions more displaced.
The artist himself was forced to leave Sudan’s capital, Khartoum, in May amid increasing violence, a journey he described as “risky and dangerous”, leaving his family “mentally and physically exhausted.”
