Cheif & The Marshalls

Cheif & The Marshalls are a vibrant 5 piece band from the heart of East Africa, Nairobi Kenya. While being heavily inspired and influenced by reggae, Cheif & The Marshalls are not a conventional reggae band. Their sound is melodic roots reggae blending ‘conscious’ Swahili lyrics and African rhythms, along with ‘mabumbumbu’ drums which are specific to the East African region.
The band draws inspiration from the message and lyrics of Steel Pulse and the hip hop reggae sound of Damian Marley and Protoje.
