Bio
Born in Kenya, Eddie Mico is a gospel artist from Rwanda who developed an interest in music when he was in primary school. He was brought up in a music family; his grandfather was a singer, composer and pianist. This prompted him to learn how to play the keyboard and piano at a young age.
He took his talent to another level while in high school. When his family returned to Rwanda, he joined the Prince of Peace Choir at St. Etienne Cathedral in Kigali. Together with his friends, he later formed a music group called BMS. They composed songs and organized concerts as well as festivals at Lycée de Kigali and many other venues.
In December 2008, he released his debut single called ‘YOU’. Since then, he has released a number of songs which include ‘Umukunzi Wangye, ‘Mubo naBonye’, ‘Reka Ubwiza’ among others. He has also released an album titled 'You Are Amazing'. Some of his hit songs are ‘Mubonabonye’, ‘You Can’, ‘Party Party’ and others.
As a songwriter and composer, he has been engaged in writing and composing songs and jingles. He has also helped young gospel singers to make their own music. He has performed with renowned musicians like Aime Uwimana and Dominic Nic.
Besides music, he is studying Finance and Banking at a local university. He draws his aspirations from artists such as Kirk Franklin, Israel, Robert R. Kelly and Donnie McClurkin.
