Call for applications: 2020 Mundial Montreal music summit in Canada

Interested artists may submit their applications here. The submission deadline is 1 April.  

Who can apply to perform at Mundial Montreal?

• The organisers are looking for artists that wish to develop their career at a national and international level.
• Artists who have: released an album, done a few shows, have a music video and Facebook fans are good starting points to be selected (but are not mandatory).

Requirements

• Artists need to fill an online application form including basic information such as a short biography, music, photos and press kit.
• Artists would be asked to demonstrate how Mundial Montreal would benefit their career.
• Application fee of 45 CAD ($34) is required.

What selected artists need to know

• Selected artists must have a representative who will purchase an emerald badge or a ruby badge at full price and participate at the fourth day of the event. The representative must be identified when the offer is accepted. The accreditation will be on sale soon.
• Mundial Montreal is a showcasing conference and therefore does not provide support for travel, accommodation, per diem or catering.
• Artists are responsible for acquiring the necessary visas to perform in Canada and the Electronic Travel Authorisation to enter Canada.
• Mundial Montreal strongly recommends artists to secure funding for their travel.

Once the application is submitted, the primary contact will receive a confirmation email. The pre-selection committee will review the applications and grade them based on originality, song writing skills and career advancement. The top-rated artists will then be submitted to the programming team, who will be responsible for sending out the official invitations.

All applications received will be analysed by the programming committee. The primary contact will be notified by email on the status of the application no later than 1 September. No refunds will be given to non-selected artists. However, artists who have applied will receive a 45 CAD rebate on the purchase of badge giving access to all showcases and panels presented during Mundial Montreal.
