SA top gospel musician Lundi Tyamara recovering at home

Sources said Lundi was admitted to the hospital in December, where he was reportedly treated for abdominal tuberculosis, chest pains and liver problems. The ‘Mphefumlo Wami’ hitmaker reportedly spent his birthday,16 December, Christmas and New Year in hospital.

Sadly, a leaked picture of the ailing gospel star has been doing the rounds on Twitter since Friday night. Meanwhile, the singer’s family condemned the leaked picture, which has caused widespread anger and outrage among his fans on social media.

As if that wasn’t enough, some sources went as far as claiming that the singer had died. Meanwhile, the singer’s management team has dismissed the claims. His family has also asked the nation to pray for Lundi.

Lundi is one of South Africa's most prominent gospel musicians. His solo career kicked off in 1998 and he has released numerous hits such as ‘Mphefumlo Wami’, ‘Mvuleleni Angene’, ‘Mniku’dumo’ and many others. His career has, however, been  affected by scandals, including allegations  of drug and alcohol addiction. In 2016, he claimed he had overcome the addictions through help of family and fellow gospel stars.
