Knockxy

Knockxy (born Noxolo Nsibande) is a South African vocalist, rapper, composer, and self-taught keyboardist based in Johannesburg. Her music career began in 2008 when she formed an all-girl hip hop and R&B group with her cousins called "Black Beaniez," then went solo in 2013.

Her collaborations with South African bands and artists like Nomi Superstar, Thabsie and DJ Zinhle have been among the highlights of her musical career. She’s also performed at major festivals around South Africa, such as Smoking Dragon together with her three-piece female band BOLD SA.

In 2019 Knockxy recorded the soundtrack to a South African romance/comedy film titled "Love Lives Here", starring Thando Thabethe, Lungile Radu and the late Andile Gumbi. In 2020 Knockxy released her long-anticipated 7 track debut EP, titled “Experimental Me”.

As an aspiring multi-instrumentalist, Knockxy is proficient in percussion, trumpet and saxophone. She is mainly influenced by Hip-hop, Dance, Afro Soul, Reggae and Kizomba and is a versatile music producer.

Knockxy is working on a new single with different artists along with the debut project from BOLD SA "Rock, Paper, Scissors". In addition to her solo work, “Cherry on Top” showcases emerging female instrumentalists.

One of her greatest ambitions is to send a message of love, peace and self motivation to everyone who listens to her music.
