Rehegoo launches music streaming service for businesses

The service is available at an annual subscription fee. It is targeted at establishments that play music in their physical spaces like gyms, spas, retail stores and supermarkets. Tuned Global, which provides a white-label streaming app, will handle backend support, analytics and the content management system for the new tool.

Rehegoo says the service will support the next generation of talent to get their music heard. The company boasts direct licensing agreements with unsigned artists in 50 countries, and says it expects to deliver about 130 000 fully licensed songs, including its own catalogue.

The music on the app will benefit from Tuned Global’s recent integration with artificial intelligence platform Musiio, which specialises in machine learning and metadata tagging.

Tuned Global has worked on custom apps for majors such as Warner Music Group and Universal Music Group. It also powers services such as pan-African streaming app Deedo, the UFC Ultimate Sound app in the US, as well as clients in the fitness industry. 

Rehegoo is Tuned Global’s first client to use Plaidio, a new feature that lets businesses create their own online radio stations with live broadcasts of playlists to listeners in different locations.

The new service follows Rehegoo’s recent launch of Music for Content, an e-commerce platform that provides a library of high-quality songs for content creators.
