Call for entries: South African Traditional Music Awards 2023
The organisers of the South African Traditional Music Awards (SATMAs), in partnership with the Department of Art and Culture and the South African Broadcasting Corporation, are inviting artists to submit entries for the 2023 edition of the awards ceremony to be held at the Durban International Convention Centre.
This year’s awards will include three new categories: Best Traditional School Group/Artist, Best Traditional University Group/Artist and Best Traditional Influential Social Media Page.
The nominees will be announced in August and the ceremony will be held later under the theme, My Culture, Your Culture, One Nation.
Interested artists should download, fill in the nomination form here and send it via email at nominations@satmaawards.co.za before 31 July.
There is no limit to the number of copies one can make of this entry form. To nominate an artist, the public should fill out the nominees’ form and the following must accompany every application: biography, picture and audio of the nominated artist.
