Open call: Café AI workshop in SA
The South African Cultural Observatory and Fak'ugesi are inviting creatives to register for a workshop exploring the impact of AI on the cultural, creative industries (CCIs) at Tshimologong Precinct in Johannesburg, South Africa, on 13 March 2024.
The workshop, titled AI Café Artificial Intelligence: Rushed revolution? is supported by GIZ and the Department of Sport, Arts and Culture.
The workshop will feature a discussion with a panel of specialists speaking for and against AI advancements in the cultural sector.
Topics under discussion include:
- How AI impacts creative work and daily creative production.
- Tacking copyright, intellectual property (IP), ownership and mitigating against bias in the AI era.
- Jobs displacement, skills development and keeping pace with AI.
