Voting still open for 2019 Songlines Music Awards
The public can still vote for their favourite world music/fusion artists ahead of this year's Songlines Music Awards.
The voting window closes on 31 January and voters can pick their favourite artists using this form. Voters will be automatically entered into a draw to win tickets to WOMAD in Malmesbury, UK, from 25 to 28 July. Ten runners-up will receive a copy of the 2018 Songlines Music Awards compilation album.
Now in their 11th year, the awards recognise the wealth of musical talent from around the world that has been featured in Songlines magazine.
“Similar to last year’s awards, we now also have five geographical categories based on the CD reviews sections in Songlines: Africa & Middle East, Americas, Europe, Asia & Pacific and Fusion,” the publication said. “From albums reviewed throughout 2018, Songlines contributors will decide on four nominees from each of these five categories (announced April 5), with the eventual winners crowned on 10 May in the June 2019 issue.”

- All votes must be posted through the official Songlines Music Awards website (www.songlines.co.uk/music-awards) by midnight GMT on 31 January.
