SA: Wonderboom release single-shot video for Hell

The music video draws inspiration from 1930s film noir and the silent film era.

The black-and-white video was filmed by Steve East and Mark Justin Kretschmann at the Pieter Toerien Theatre in Johannesburg. It's written by the band's frontman Cito and produced by Rockford Media.

The video features a one-shot, portrait-styled theatrical performance with no-edit takes. Cito said the task was technically demanding and a challenge for the film crew.

“It was a daring concept that cannot be pulled off by anyone I know, other than the beautiful and seriously skilled actress, Angela Kilian,” he said. The actress plays the Tragic Widow who digs deep to portray the lyrics of the song.

From subtle expression to full-outrage and raw vulnerability, this video fully engages the viewer. It also offers visual cues along the dynamic journey with a twist in the end.
