Call for applications: 2021 Visa For Music showcases in Morocco
The organisers of Visa For Music are calling on African musicians to apply for an opportunity to showcase their works at the event in Rabat, Morocco, from 17 to 20 November.
Now in its eighth edition, the annual music industry forum seeks to increase the visibility of music globally. This year’s programme will include digital and live experiences due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
“Sharing the values of the theme, Arts, Culture and Heritage, a lever to build the Africa we want, chosen by the African Union for this year 2021, the eighth edition of Visa For Music will take a hybrid form,” a statement reads.
“Building on the live experiences of its editions since 2014 and the entire digital format last year, this year's edition of Visa For Music will offer a new experience, mixing live concerts and sessions on a digital format.”
A jury composed of music professionals from the music and cultural industries will select about 30 artists/groups to participate in the event.
The application deadline is 15 April.
