Call for participation: Performing Arts Business and Digital Distribution project in Harare
Chenhaka Trust in Zimbabwe is inviting contemporary or cultural dancers, dance groups, directors, choreographers and dance associations to apply for the Performing Arts Business and Digital Distribution project in Harare from 17 July to 2 August.

The call is open to applicants aged between above 18 to 50 years based in Harare, Mashonaland West, Mashonaland Central and Mashonaland East provinces of Zimbabwe. It seeks to hasten development, improve digital management, business skills, efficiency and facilitate recognition and standardisation of salaries and performance fees in the country's dance sector.
The Performing Arts Business and Digital Distribution project is funded by the Sound Connects Fund, an initiative by the Music In Africa Foundation and Goethe-Institut. The Sound Connects Fund is made possible with the financial contribution of the European Union and the support of the organisation of ACP States.
To participate, applicants should:
- Prepare a one-page expression of interest (EOI), detailing why they are best suited to participate in the Performing Arts Business and Digital Distribution project.
- Attach a CV (individuals) or group/association profile and email the application to chenhakatrust@gmail.com before 7 July.
Note: Group directors and dance associations are encouraged to apply for their members in one application.
The maximum members/officers are three per group (director, finance and admin officer and dancer/choreographer). The groups should be gender inclusive.

About Sound Connects Fund
The Sound Connects Fund is a multifaceted initiative that aims to accelerate development and increase the capacity of the cultural and creative sectors in Southern Africa. This is done by offering financial support in the form of different sized grants and a comprehensive capacity-building programme to eligible creative and cultural industry organisations based in Angola, Botswana, eSwatini, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, Zambia and Zimbabwe. The fund supports projects across a wide range of disciplines including, but not limited to, performing arts, visual arts, animation, film, gaming, photography and videography, among others.
