Passionate individuals who are eager to develop their skills in various facets of event management and production are invited to apply for internship programmes at Basadi in Music Awards (BIMAs).

Presented by the Creative Arts Directorate Division of the Gauteng Department of Sports, Arts, Culture and Recreation, the programme offers a unique opportunity for interns to gain hands-on experience in the vibrant world of music awards.
Available internship programmes:
Stage manager
- Assist in coordinating stage activities and performer schedules.
- Support the management of stage setups and transitions.
- Ensure smooth and timely execution of the event programme.
Production assistants
- Assist in the planning and execution of event logistics.
- Support the production team in coordinating technical elements and schedules.
- Gain experience in backstage operations and live event production.
Public relations
- Help in crafting and distributing press releases.
- Assist with media outreach and managing press contacts.
- Support the PR team in developing strategies to enhance the event’s public image.
Social media
- Create and manage content across various social media platforms.
- Engage with the audience to increase awareness and excitement about BIMAs.
- Monitor social media trends and analytics to optimise campaign performance.
Legal
- Assist the legal team with contract reviews and negotiations.
- Support the compliance efforts related to event regulations and intellectual property.
- Gain insight into the legal aspects of event management and the music industry.
Runner
- Provide essential logistical support to the event team.
- Assist with various tasks to ensure the event runs smoothly.
- Gain experience in the fast-paced environment of live events.
Guest relations
- Assist in managing VIP and guest experiences.
- Coordinate guest services and hospitality arrangements.
- Ensure a memorable and enjoyable experience for all attendees.
