The 2026 event will mark the 16th year edition of the festival. Submissions are open to all new music artists of all genres worldwide through until:
- 1st wave applications deadline is 1 September.
- Final applications deadline is 5pm (UK) on 1 November.
Important information
- If selected, artists will be notified before 1 February 2026. Note: FOCUS Wales receives circa 6 000 artist applications each year, and with only a small core festival team it’s not possible for them to get back to every applicant.
- Applicants who will not hear from FOCUS Wales by 1 February will unlikely have a showcase slot for them on this occasion. However, the organisers will hold their details on file until the dates of the festival in-case a suitable slot does open up.
- FOCUS Wales does not accept applications from cover bands or tribute acts.
To be considered by the FOCUS Wales team of selectors for a showcase slot at the festival, applicants should apply here.
“Please note, we do receive circa 6,000 artist applications each year, and with only a small core festival team it's not possible for us to get back to every applicant,” the organisers said. “If you have not heard from us by 1 February then it's unlikely we will have a showcase slot for you on this occasion. We will however hold your details on file up until the dates of the festival in-case a suitable slot does open up.”
