UAE: All Africa Festival 2024 announces line-up
All Africa Festival has announced the artists set to perform at the 2024 edition of the event at Etihad Park in Abu Dhabi from 2 to 4 February.
The event will feature music, entertainment, fashion, art and food, showcasing the unique and beautiful representations of African culture. The festival aims to become the biggest celebration of African continental and diaspora culture in the world.
The organisers have announced some 35 artists from Africa, including Yemi Alade (Nigeria), Eddy Kenzo (Uganda) and Omah Lay (Nigeria).
Others are Congolese-French singer, rapper and songwriter Maître Gims, Canadian-Moroccan actress and singer Nora Fatehi, Nigerian singer Tekno and Ghanaian Afropop, dancehall and reggae musician Stonebwoy.
Joining them are Tanzanian bongo flava recording artist Diamond Platnumz, French hip hop, R&B and urban pop singer-songwriter Vegedream, Moroccan rapper ElGrandeToto, Sudanese singer and songwriter Hleem Taj Alser, Ethiopian hip hop artist Lij Michael Faf, South African dancer and singer Kamo Mphela, Zimbabwean-born amapiano artist Sha Sha and Congolese soukous star Koffi Olomide.
“With many more artists joining the fold of talent performing in Abu Dhabi at the All Africa Festival, this event is set to be the biggest ode to Afro-entertainment in the Middle East to date,” the organisers said.
“A stellar line-up of DJs from Africa and the diaspora set to keep the vibe alive in between performances, with Emirati DJ Liya representing the local talent. She will be joined by Zimbabwean DJ C Boy, Kenyan DJ Mneddy, Somali DJ Jay Beats and American DJ Nikki Nicole who have all risen to prominence on the Dubai entertainment scene.”
RJ the DJ (Tanzania), DJ Dollar (Senegal), DJ Royal Phyz (Nigeria), Vigro Deep (South Africa) and St Seii (Nigeria) form the cohort of disk jockeys flying in from the continent to Abu Dhabi. Ghanaian actress and film producer Juliet Ibrahim will reel in the festivities as event host.
