Register to attend Mdundo music licensing webinar
Music streaming platform Mdundo is calling on interested individuals to register for its The Future of A&R in Africa – Exclusive Licensing webinar on 30 June.
The webinar, which begins at 2pm, will focus on exclusive licensing within the African market, giving participants more insight on A&R across the continent.
The event will be moderated by Mdundo head of A&R Francis Muchina, and will feature guest speakers including Distroplug head of label operations Jonah Chukwu Orji, associate at Punuka Attorneys & Solicitors Kolawole Hassan Jr, Mavin Records licensing and publishing officer Kizito Ahams and of Horus Music Nigeria boss Abisoye Obayan.

The first instalment of Mdundo’s webinar series took place in March and was run under the topic, The Artist & Artist Managers in Africa. The speakers included Olumo Records and Next World Music label executive Nelson Togun, Mdundo music manager Rosemary Ofoegbu, Inner Circle Media CEO Moses Ikebeli and emPawa Africa label services manager Ayomide Adeware, among others.
Launched in Kenya in 2013, the Danish-owned Mdundo is among the leading local music streaming platforms. The platform focuses on 15 African markets, including Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Nigeria, Ghana, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Angola, Rwanda, Cameroon, DRC, Malawi, South Africa and Namibia, The platform recently signed partnerships with Vodacom Tanzania and Airtel Nigeria.
