PapaRaZzle shares new EP I’m In Paris, and I Miss You
London-based Nigerian Afro-fusion singer PapaRaZzle has released his new EP titled I’m In Paris, and I Miss You. The seven-track project is available for streaming and download on all major digital platforms.
Thematically, the collection, which the artist says is the product of a “culmination of an unplanned and exhilarating creative journey”, explores everything from love and heartbreak to sadness and nostalgia.
“The EP offers a narrative journey, exploring the impactful encounters and deep connections we form with people who enter our lives and leave an indelible mark,” a statement says, adding that the “heartfelt project is a testament to PapaRaZzle’s ability to turn personal experiences into universal narratives, offering listeners a piece of his ‘Parisian magic’ and a resonant connection with his artistry.”
The opening track ‘Pilot’ sees PapaRaZzle trying to swoon a romantic interest, while ‘Miata’ pays homage to lovers. ‘Paris’ pursues escapism, while ‘Angels Singing’ captures the joys of a campfire night with friends. ‘Come Back Home’ offers a late-night melancholic reflection on lost love, whereas ‘I Get High, I Fall Down’ embodies hope despite past disappointments. The EP concludes with ‘Music Makes Me Feel Better’, a tribute to the healing power of music and the longing for more time with loved ones.
Speaking about the inspiration behind the collection, PapaRaZzle said: “This EP captures a wide range of emotions, feelings and moods that we all experience as humans. As we navigate through life, we learn, we grow and we crave companionship. We meet people who impact us profoundly, and in turn, we leave our mark on them. Strangers become integral parts of our story. This collection of experiences is what makes our life and what makes it beautiful.”
He added that he sees this EP as the beginning of a series of city-themed projects he’s long envisioned.
PapaRaZzle’s sound incorporates Afrobeats, R&B, soul, dancehall, rap and pop. His last single ‘Sunset and You’ garnered iTunes R&B Top 10 chart success in countries like Belgium and Russia, while tracks like ‘Angel’ charted on the Shazam Top 100 Chart in Malawi.
