Open call: Australian High Commission creative projects in East Africa
The Australian High Commission in Kenya is calling on arts and creative organisations in East Africa that seek to establish or deepen connections with Australia’s rich creative and cultural sector to submit their project proposals.
The Australian High Commission Kenya is looking for partners to deliver arts/creative projects in Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, Somalia, Uganda or Burundi from February to July 2025. The projects should be valued for up to AUD7 000 (about $4 350).
Interested arts and creative organisations should apply here before 22 January.
Below is the criteria:
- The organisation must be an established charity/NGO or company in the creative or arts sector operating in Tanzania, Somalia, Kenya, Uganda, Burundi or Rwanda.
- The organisation must have established links with an Australian creative or arts organisation or identify a proposed Australian partner in the application.
- The activity must be delivered in Tanzania, Somalia, Kenya, Uganda, Burundi or Rwanda between February and July 2025. Regional activity across these countries is also encouraged.
- Activities or projects could include performances, film screenings or outreach, events, exhibitions, tours, artistic collaborations, podcasts or digital projects.
- The activity must engage with the public in-person or digitally.
- The organisation must have prior experience with international partners and/or funders.
- The projects can be valued up to AUD7 000.
