Musique, chant et danse vient de l’extrême Sud de Madagascar.

Depuis 2006, le groupe Naïnako a contribué à faire connaitre la musique traditionnelle de sa région sur les scènes locales et internationales.
Leurs créations prennent racines dans la culture « Antandroy », ethnie de l’extrême Sud de Madagascar composée à l’origine de chasseurs et éleveurs, qui respecte encore aujourd’hui les codes d’une société traditionnelle très stricte.
La musique folklorique « Antandroy » se caractérise par ses polyphonies vocales, ses rythmes, ses instruments et ses danses. Sur scène, vous constaterez ainsi que les musiciens utilisent des instruments originaires de leur région, qu’ils construisent eux-mêmes selon les procédés transmis par leurs ancêtres. Les rythmes ancestraux sont toutefois modernisés grâce au recours à d’autres instruments contemporains, comme la guitare acoustique et la basse, pour accompagner et orner leurs compositions.
Présents sur les scènes de Festivals internationaux depuis 2013, ils ambitionnent de poursuivre le travail de transmission entamé afin de porter haut les couleurs de la culture Malagasy en Europe, en Afrique et à travers la zone Océan Indien.

Music, song and dance from the extreme south of Madagascar.

Since 2006, Naïnako has contributed to popularise the traditional music of its region on local and international scenes.
Their music is rooted in the “Antandroy” culture, an ethnic group from the extreme south of Madagascar originally composed of hunters and breeders, which still follows the codes of a very strict traditional society.
“Antandroy” folk music is characterized by its vocal polyphonies, its rhythms, its instruments and its dances. On stage, the musicians use instruments originating from their region, which they build themselves according to the processes transmitted by their ancestors. The ancestral rhythms are however modernized thanks to the use of other contemporary instruments, such as acoustic guitar and bass, in their compositions.
Touring internationally since 2013, Naïnako is still carrying higher and further the colors of Malagasy culture in Europe, Africa and across the Indian Ocean area.
