Call for scores: RMN Classical Piano Works competition
UK record label RMN Classical is calling on composers and performers of any age and nationality to submit compositions for its Piano Works competition.
The call seeks to discover, publish and promote works of upcoming and established composers and performers. The tracks submitted are intended to be of contemporary music for piano solo, piano duos or four (or more) hands.
Criteria
- Both live and studio recordings are accepted, as well as VST/computer-generated tracks.
- Works that include electronics are welcome.
- Any other combination like duo and trio with piano (e.g. violin and piano, cello and piano) and those that include voice or percussion will not be accepted.
- There are no restrictions regarding neither the duration nor the number of recordings that each applicant can submit.
- Multi-movement works can be submitted, as well as multi-movement compositions, and collection of works.
What to submit
A link to a folder containing the following material:
- Recording of the composer’s work and score.
- Notes about the work.

- Notes about performers (optional).
Prize
- The works of the winners will be featured in the RMN Classical Modern Music for Piano 3 album at no extra cost.
- The release – specifically created to promote new music and new composers and performers – will be produced by RMN Classical and distributed on a high-quality edition on endless platforms and outlets around the world, including Apple Music, Amazon Music, Spotify, Pandora and Deezer, among others.
- The new album will be promoted on various news networks in North America, the UK and across Europe.
- The prize also includes mastering, creation of a high-quality design of the cover artwork, and licensing and copyright clearance. The composers will retain 100% of the copyright.
- Additionally, there will be opportunities for synchronisation and licensing (TV and media) and – optionally – the possibility for a limited edition CD with physical distribution on demand.
