The seminar, titled BHIM Workshop, ran under the artist's Livingstone Foundation and took participants through training in small-scale farming activities, entrepreneurial development, food and agro-processing, and fashion production.
The workshop was facilitated by professional coaches who took aspiring entrepreneurs through advanced techniques to complete daily tasks effectively.
Speaking at the launch of the event, Stonebwoy said the programme was created to offset the adverse effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on almost all industires.
"It has always been my fervent desire to be of help to humanity. Furthermore, Ashaiman is a place I call home, for which reason I decided to commence these workshops here."
He said it was important for the trainees to equip themselves with profit-making skills, especially during a global crisis like the COVID-19 pandemic.
"We as an organisation will continue to support society in the best way we can," he said. He also used the opportunity to call upon the audience to take the government's health protocols seriously in order to curb the spread of the virus.
Trading Economics estimates that Ghana's unemployment rate will reach 7.6% by the end of the year, mainly due to the pandemic. The country’s unemployment rate currently sits at 6.8%.
The Livingstone Foundation was founded in 2017 by the award-winning artist to endorse regular philanthropic activities in Ghana.
Meanwhile, Stonebwoy released his latest album Anloga Junction in April. It features a host of international stars including Keri Hilson (US), Nasty C (South Africa), Diamond Platinumz (Tanzania), Alicai Harley (Jamaica), Jahmiel (Jamaica), Zlatan (Nigeria), and Kojo Antwi (Ghana).
