SA rapper K.O to headline Jameson Smooth Session Saturday
South African rapper K.O will be the featured artist on the second episode of Smooth Session Saturday, which will be livestreamed on the Jameson SA YouTube channel on 25 April.
The 'Caracara' hitmaker’s performance will kick off at 5pm.
The weekly show, which features 30-minute live acts from top local musicians, forms part of the Irish whiskey brand's four-week Jameson Connects: Stay Inn series.
The series also features two additional weekly shows including the Sunday Special, hosted by stand-up comedian Glen Biderman-Pam, and Wildin’ Wednesday, which is anchored by SA rapper Kwesta.
Local comedian and TV presenter Eugene Khoza will feature in the Sunday Special this week. Biderman-Pam and Khoza will discuss life during the lockdown on Instagram Live, followed by comedy and sketches on Jameson SA IGTV, starting at 3pm on 26 April.
Meanwhile, Kwesta on Wildin' Wednesday this week announced that he was looking for a new collaborator.
The 'Ngud' hitmaker, in partnership with Jameson, is calling on all members of the public to enter the Rap a Verse competition for a chance to feature on his new song.
Interested artists need to submit a selfie video of themselves rapping to the backtrack he has created.
Kwesta will choose his new collaborator in May. The winning artist will also get a trip for two to the Jameson distillery in Ireland.
Details on how to enter Rap a Verse can be found on Jameson’s official website.
