Samsung has announced a strategic partnership with Amazon Music that will see the music streaming service made available through the Galaxy Store and pre-installed on selected Samsung Galaxy smartphones and tablets.
Amazon Music director of business development Karolina Joynathsing.
Under the agreement, the Amazon Music app will come pre-installed on millions of eligible Galaxy mobile and tablet devices worldwide, allowing users to access the service immediately after setting up their devices.
As part of the collaboration, new Amazon Music Unlimited subscribers who download the app from the Galaxy Store will receive a three-month free trial for a limited period.
Amazon Music offers access to more than 100 million songs, as well as podcasts, artist livestreams, curated and personalised playlists, merchandise and other audio content.
Samsung said the partnership forms part of its efforts to enhance the user experience across its Galaxy ecosystem.
"We are constantly finding new ways to deliver special benefits and value for our Galaxy users," said Izzet Asayas, Head of CTV & Mobile Business Development. "Through our collaboration with Amazon Music, Samsung continues to elevate premium experiences across the Galaxy experience."
Amazon Music said the agreement is intended to make its service more accessible to Samsung customers.
"By pre-installing Amazon Music on select Galaxy devices and making it available in the Galaxy Store, we're putting world-class audio entertainment in customers' hands from the very first moment — with a free Amazon Music Unlimited trial to make that first experience truly exceptional," Amazon Music director of business development Karolina Joynathsing said.
The Amazon Music app is now available through the Galaxy Store. According to the companies, the promotional three-month trial for new Amazon Music Unlimited subscribers will be available for 12 months from the launch date in the United States and selected international markets.
After the promotional period ends, subscriptions will automatically renew at the applicable monthly rate unless cancelled before the renewal date. Customers can manage or cancel their subscriptions through their Amazon Music account settings.
