BIO
Tiakola, of Congolese origin, was born in Bondy, France, and grew up in the "Cité des 4000" housing project in La Courneuve as the youngest of eight siblings. Immersed in the vibrant urban culture of his community, he developed a passion for music early, which eventually led him to become a prominent figure in French rap and Afro-inspired urban music.
In 2019, while still a member of his group, Tiakola launched his solo career with the track Sombre Mélodie, featured on the CRCLR Mouvement compilation. His talent quickly drew attention, leading to collaborations with notable artists such as Tayc, Dadju, Franglish, Leto, and Gazo. He returned to solo work in 2021 with the track Pousse-toi, further establishing his distinct sound.
On 27 May 2022, Tiakola released his debut album Mélo, featuring 16 tracks (20 in physical versions), with collaborations from rappers Hamza, Gazo, Niska, SDM, and Rsko. Continuing his upward trajectory, on 25 August 2023, he released two singles, Meridian and Special, both featuring British rapper Dave, expanding his reach internationally.
Known for his melodic style, emotional depth, and ability to blend rap with Afro-inspired rhythms, Tiakola has become a leading voice in the French music scene, bridging urban culture with global sounds.
