Minanzi Mbira Band

Minanzi Mbira Band is a music outfit from Nelspruit, South Africa whose music is a fusion of traditional shona mbira songs with South African dance rhythms. Their music is lively and melodic and effectively showcases the beauty of these traditional instruments for enjoyment by a wide audience.
The collaboration between musicians from Zimbabwe and South Africa started in 2015 and has since morphed into a formal band that is Minanzi Mbira. The band has performed at events such as festivals, corporate functions and formal dinners as well as at restaurants, hotels and game lodges.
