Bio
Korede Bello is a Nigerian singer born in 1996. As a child he performed under the name African Prince and names older compatriots Asa and 2face as influences.
He released the single ‘4eva’ in 2012, and got introduced to producer Don Jazzy who saw promise in the young singer. Don Jazzy’s previous collective Mo’ Hits comprising D’banj, Wande Coal and a few others had disbanded after D’banj left and a latter one ‘Mavins’ was shaky as Wande Coal departed. Korede signed up and released African Princess. (2014)
Korede joined new Mavins crew (sometimes called Mavins 2.0) with older and young acts. The group then released the pop hit ‘Dorobucci’ (2014). The video became Korede’s introduction to fame when his wink in the video went viral. The fresh faced star appeared to have secured a fan base on the strength of a wink and a verse.
A later single ‘God Win,’ (2015) a semi-gospel pop song became a huge hit around the country, enough for the singer to perform at the Presidential Inauguration Dinner.
Following his performance at the dinner, a video for the song was released. It features a several Nigerian comedians and a signature dance.
