Call for entries: Intercultural Achievement Award in Austria
The Austrian Federal Ministry for European and International Affairs is accepting entries for its annual Intercultural Achievement Award (IAA), which rewards successful, solution-oriented intercultural and interreligious dialogue projects.
This award is a key project for intercultural dialogue of the foreign ministry. It is open to all those who identify and make use of opportunities that positively shape intercultural co-existence. It rewards those who have mastered a specific challenge through intercultural action and promotes dialogue between cultures and religions.
Who can apply?
The ministry is looking for both large and small projects implemented by organisations or individuals in the following fields:
- Arts/culture.
- Youth.
- Human rights.
- Global citizenship, education and integration.
Prizes
International categories:
- Sustainability: Best ongoing project on the cross-cutting topic of environment and interculturality.
- Recent Events: Best project with reference to this year's COVID-19 pandemic theme.
- Technology: Best application of technology in the context of an intercultural project.
- Innovation: Most innovative intercultural project.
- Media: Best media contribution for intercultural understanding.
Austria:
- Special prize: Integration in Austria.
- Special prize: Best Austrian project.
Note:
- The projects need to be either in the process of being implemented or already completed.
- There will only be one winner per category.
