Although South Africa has one of the most progressive constitutions in the world, respecting the rights of its citizens remains an urgent concern for civil society. If we do not act as citizens and civil society, we run the risk of human right violations through the use of force by law enforcement officials, political repression, sexual violence, freedom of speech and access to public services.
My life and work experience has given me first-hand exposure to the challenges humanity faces. I have been inspired by how effective Event Management, Psychology and Sports can be, in terms of social and economic development within communities. My research focus has allowed me to gain a greater understanding on how people interact and experience the world around them in order to work effectively with other like-minded individuals in events, organizations and projects that can enable the development of social and economic construction.
