Young Ugandan producer fighting for his life
Fast-rising Ugandan music producer Dan Mukisa, popularly known as Danz Kumapeesa, is in ICU after he was attacked at his home in Kampala early on Tuesday morning.
His friend Geofrey Nkwanga, popularly known as Dokta Brain, said the 23 year old suffered a cracked skull and was fighting for his life at Nsambya Hospital, where he was rushed by his girlfriend after she found him unconscious.
Muwanguzi was on his way home from Jah Live studio in Makindye, Kampala, where he works before coming face to face with a number thugs who took valueable items from him. The assailants are believed to be members of the Kifeesi Goons, a notorious gang that has been terrorising residents in the Ugandan capital.
Muwanguzi has produced bestselling Ugandan artists such as Bebe Cool, Winnie Nwagi, Irene Ntale, Fille and Eddy Kenzo.
Musicians took to social media to wish the young producer a quick recovery. Here are tweets from some Ugandan artists he has previously worked with.

Muwanguzi worked on Bebe Cool and Sauti Sol’s Mbozi Za Malwa single, which was released at the end of April.
UPDATE:
9 June, 9.30am: Jah Live studio director Frank Mugerwa says that the 23 year old is still on life support after undergoing a successful operation yesterday.
