SA: Boohle shares two singles ahead of new album
South African singer Boohle has unveiled two singles titled ‘Mhlobo Wami’ and ‘Nakindaba Zakho’ ahead of the release of her 11-track album Umhlobo on 14 June.
The tracks were produced with Boohle’s distinctive style, and serve as a taste of the full-bodied musical experience that awaits fans in June.
“I poured my heart and soul into every aspect of this album, and I can’t wait for my fans to experience the music,” Boohle said. “‘Mhlobo Wami’ and ‘Nakindaba Zakho’ are just the beginning of what I have in store, and I hope they resonate with listeners on a deep level.”
Boohle’s musical journey began in 2016 with her first house music recording. She then explored various genres, including gospel, gqom, and Afro-pop, before discovering her true calling in amapiano. This newfound passion led her to create hits that significantly contributed to the genre’s growth. In 2020, she released her first album Izibongo, followed by a collaborative project with producer Josiah De Disciple titled Umbuso Wabam’nyama.
Her career gained momentum with the release of the singles ‘Mama’ and ‘Inyembezi’, which became massive hits and took the world by storm. The upcoming album blends amapiano and Afropop, showcasing Boohle’s unique voice and talent. Working with leading producers and supported by a devoted fanbase, Boohle’s music has achieved international recognition, attracting fans from around the globe.
