Ghana Music Awards UK 2024 postponed

The organisers revealed the development in a press statement dated 10 October, attributing it to “unforeseen circumstances.”

The event will now take place on 30 November at The Meridian Grand in London. 

“All purchased tickets will remain valid for the rescheduled event,” the statement read. “We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused and appreciate your understanding and continued support.”

Marking its eighth anniversary this year, the scheme, put together by Alordia Promotions and West Coast UK, honours the exceptional talents of Ghanaian musicians while spotlighting their impact within the UK music industry.

At the upcoming awards, trophies will be presented across close to 40 categories.

Kuami Eugene, Stonebwoy and Sarkodie head into the 2024 edition as the most nominated acts with 13, 12 and 10 nods, respectively. The three are also in the running for the coveted Artist of the Year prize alongside Black Sherif, King Promise, Nacee, Amerado and Shatta Wale, who emerged as the biggest winner last year, clinching the Artist of the Year Award, as well as the gongs for Reggae/Dancehall Artist of the Year, Reggae/Dancehall Song of the Year and Song of the Year.
