Shimza honours SA dance scene with Dreaming EP
Renowned South African DJ and producer Shimza has released his long-awaited EP Dreaming, a heartfelt tribute to the country’s vibrant dance community.
The four-track EP, which blends Shimza’s signature Afro-tech sound with a stellar line-up of local talent, encapsulates the essence of the South African summer. Dreaming is exclusively released under Shimza’s own label, KUNYE.
The EP features an impressive roster of collaborators, including South African amapiano giant Kabza De Small, Afro-tech producers Vitoto and Jnr SA, as well as vocals from both rising star Zano and multi-award-winning R&B singer-songwriter Manana.
“This EP is very special and personal to me,” Shimza said. “It represents where I come from, with an all-South African lineup of both established and emerging talent. Dreaming is about the past, present, and future of South African electronic music, and I’m proud to release it on KUNYE, the platform we created for this exact purpose.”
Shimza, a pioneering figure in Afro-tech, has consistently bridged the soulful rhythms of African heritage with the refined elements of Europe’s electronic music scene.
