SA: Dan Duminy releases new single Favors featuring Tellaman

Dan and Tellaman’s connection goes beyond music. They’ve been close friends for years.

“I’ve always admired Tellaman’s work,” Dan said. “When I made ‘Favors’ in Los Angeles, I sent it to him, and the energy was instant. We vibed, shared ideas, and the song came together naturally.”

Creating ‘Favors’ was a collaborative experience from start to finish, beginning with a simple melody and layering atmospheric sounds over lyrics that reflect deeper themes. “We wanted to create a nostalgic, introspective vibe that resonates with listeners,” he said. “It was important to let the emotions flow naturally and keep the vibe authentic.”

At its core, ‘Favors’ explores themes of nostalgia, love, and self-discovery. Drawing inspiration from personal relationships and past experiences, Dan reflects on the emotions and memories that shape people: “The song is about embracing the good and the bad, the moments that help us grow, and the vulnerability that comes with it.”

For Dan, 2024 has been a milestone year. Alongside going independent, releasing new music, and touring with Neon Dreams, he highlights experiences like exploring Japan and shooting a music video abroad. Collaborating with Tellaman on ‘Favors’ has been the perfect way to cap off a remarkable year.

As 2024 wraps up, Dan is focused on his mental and physical health while gearing up for an exciting 2025. His plans include expanding his global reach, releasing his first EP and debut album, and experimenting with new sounds and genres. “I’m excited for what’s to come and grateful for all the support,” Dan adds.
