SA: Ronnie L inspires hope with new single Same God
South African gospel singer Ronnie L has released a new single titled ‘Same God’.
The track offers listeners a powerful reminder that the God, who was faithful in the past remains steadfast in rebuilding what has been lost. The message in the song holds a deeply personal significance for Ronnie L.
“We often lose faith when life doesn’t go as planned, but God, in His omnipotence, is still God,” Ronnie L said. “Sometimes, in life’s darkest moments, it’s difficult to worship God for who He is rather than for what He can do. It was in this wilderness that I truly understood His power to restore and guide.”
The song was written by Nick Mathevula, and celebrates God’s unchanging character and references His many names including Jesus, Saviour, Yahweh, Elohim, Healer, and Provider.
Since his breakthrough in 2015, Ronnie L has entertained audiences with his unique sound and heartfelt worship. His debut album, A Call to Love, earned him a Tshivenda Music Award for Best Newcomer and a Crown Gospel Music Award for Best Gospel R&B Track in 2019. Earlier this year, he released Rabela – A Story of Restoration, a widely praised album exploring themes of prayer, hope, and biblical restoration.
He has collaborated with celebrated artists such as Brian Temba, Nqubeko Mbatha, Takie Ndou, and Dudu Makhoba. His television appearances on Gospel Classics (SABC 2) and A New Thing (TBN Africa) have further solidified his place as a beloved figure in the gospel music industry.
