Seh Calaz
Bio
Born Tawanda Mumanyi on 29 September 1993, Seh Calaz grew up in Mbare, Harare. He attended his primary and secondary education at St Peter's and Mutendi schools. His interest in music became visible in 2008 when he was part of the Christ Embassy choir. He shot to fame with songs such as ‘Mabhanditi’ (2013), ‘Mumota Murikubvira’ and ‘Kwatinobva Kwakasiyana Siyana’.
Most of his fans know him through his music signature "Check Check Check". The chant features in most of his songs. In December 2013, he was voted Best Male Dancehall Artist at the King of the Dancehall contest. In the same year, he did a remix of ‘Mumota Murikubvira’ with Turbulence, a Jamaican dancehall artist who had come to Zimbabwe for a show. In March 2015, he dominated the nomination list and won the following categories: Best Video, Best Club Hit and Best Vocalist accolades. In April 2015, he launched the ‘Bandit Rebirth’ album.
