Mr Eazi set for New York concert
Mr Eazi is set to embark on a world tour, tagged Life is Eazi – DETTY World Tour, which takes off on 11 March with a performance in New York.
The performance is being sold as the Ghana Independence Day Concert.
Like last year’s Life is Easy tour, the forthcoming event will see the Nigerian-born singer have several stopovers in cities around the world. The tour will help prepare fans for the anticipated mixtape Accra to Lagos.
Already the ‘Skintight’ singer has announced a string of coming songs with these titles: ‘Business’, ‘2 People’ and ‘Tilapia’. Fans will be hoping for more of the same vibe from such favourites as ‘Bankulize’, ‘Dance for Me’, and ‘Leg Over’.
Originally named Oluwatosin Oluwole Ajibade, Mr Eazi has seen his star rise over the past year—a deal with Wizkid’s Star Boy records, a performance at the Indigo 02, playing at the Jidenna concert in Lagos, and winning awards are some of the recent developments in his career.
Such is his status that a tweet from his account about Nigerian music’s debt to Ghana sparked some controversy. He has since apologised, and clarified his position on an MTV Base interview.
Although details of the tours are incomplete, tickets for the Life is Eazi concert are available online.
