Call for applications: ACCES 2026 Emerging Artist Spotlight Competition

The Music In Africa Foundation, organisers of ACCES 2026, invites emerging artists to submit one original song, in any genre, for the ACCES 2026 Emerging Artist Spotlight Competition.
Submit your application by 16 October 2026.
Shortlisted tracks will receive live feedback from radio professionals from Kaya FM, VOW 88.1, Ukhozi FM and StaFM during a workshop at ACCES in Johannesburg on 29 and 30 October 2026.
One winner will receive a Music In Africa promotional package worth R35,000, including studio time, a promotional video, press support and assistance with potential radio playlisting.
ACCES is Africa’s leading music trade event, bringing together artists, music buyers, record labels, promoters and other industry professionals to connect, share knowledge and build business partnerships. Taking place in Johannesburg from 28 to 31 October 2026, this year’s edition expects over 700 delegates from more than 45 countries, with a programme of conference sessions, workshops, exhibitions and live performances.
Submission Rules
- Submit one original song per artist, in any genre.
- Songs must be submitted in MP3 format, with a file size of less than 10 MB.
- Applicants must be registered for ACCES 2026.
- Applicants must be able to attend the ACCES conference in person in Johannesburg on 29 and 30 October 2026.
